WHAT OUR HOTEL OFFERS TO PEOPLE WITH IMPAIRMENTS

magdas is for everyone. Two accessible hotel rooms, as well as one room each for visually impaired or hard-of-hearing guests testify to that, all located at the heart of Austria’s capital.

When it comes to accessible travelling, we say: Barriers must go! Our accessible hotel in Vienna warmly welcomes all people with impairments, plus it provides enough space for our wheelchair-using guests. We have compiled further information about the facilities and how to get here in our info sheet, which you can call up under "more info" in the room information section below.

Barrier-free rooms

Our barrier-free rooms are spacious (28 sqm or 31 sqm) and offer enough room, even if you come with a wheelchair. One of the rooms has a connecting door to an adjoining room that can be used for an accompanying person or carer. A large bathroom with holders for the toilet and shower as well as an emergency call button is also available, as is a barrier-free desk.

We have two barrier-free rooms. Both rooms are spacious (28 sqm or 31 sqm) and offer enough room, even if you come with a wheelchair. One of the rooms has a connecting door to an adjoining room that can be used for an accompanying person or carer. A large bathroom with holders for the toilet and shower as well as an emergency call button is also available, as is a barrier-free desk.
In the alley behind our hotel is a public parking lot for the disabled. The path from the barrier-free parking lot in “Krummgasse” to the entrance door on our terrace is sloped.
The magdas HOTEL is accessible by wheelchair from Ungargasse and Krummgasse. The way from the main entrance in Ungargasse to the reception is marked by an tactile orientation system for visually impaired people. At the reception, guests with visual impairments can obtain an orientation map in Braille, which shows the way to our room for guests with visual impairments. In addition, our reception has a lowered area. The barrier-free restroom in the basement is barrier-free, as well as the WC on the 6th floor and our seminar rooms. The 6th floor and the basement are accessible with our wheelchair-friendly elevator.
Our magdas LOKAL is accessible from both Krummgasse and Ungargasse. A tactile guidance system for visually impaired guests guides the way from the main entrance at Ungargasse 38 to the reception. Our reception has a lowered area. The barrier-free restroom in the basement can be reached by our accessible lift.
At magdas LOKAL, we offer gluten-free pastries as well as lactose-free milk and plant-based drinks (oat, soy) for breakfast and in our menu in addition to numerous vegetarian and vegan delicacies. We are happy if you pre-order the gluten-free pastries for breakfast upon arrival.
Assistance dogs, i.e. guide dogs, service dogs and signal dogs, are allowed in the magdas HOTEL. Please let us know when booking that an assistance dog is traveling with you, so that we can take this into account when allocating rooms.
